Planning a trip? The summer buzz is high, but slow down just for a moment.  With thinking cap on, which country do you wish to visit?  Antigua and Barbuda, land of Sea and Sun, of course!  Now that you have chosen Antigua and Barbuda, it is my pleasure to give you snippets about our Island.

This is the time of the year when Antigua and Barbuda buzzes with activities within the city of Saint John’s, as our summer festival “Carnival 2017” gets into high gear.

The organisers for this yearly event must have things in place so that all planned events kick off with a bang.  This year’s carnival officially runs from July 28 to August 8, 2017.  Our carnival has been going 60 years strong and gets bigger and better every year.   It’s the time of year when residents, citizens, friends and visitors alike break away from all the formalities that surround their daily lives and have fun:  feting, playing mass, jamming in bands, strolling in the streets and watching the floats as they go by.

A fun part of the carnival is listening to the revellers as they plan ahead for next year’s event, so carnival is a must.  Carnival is partying, non-stop for most revellers, sleep begins after the festivities end.

I invite you to celebrate with us this time around.  We even have a lovely place for you to stay!
