Cochranes is in the eastern quadrant of the Island, west of Pares Village. The land runs off the Pares main road. Although a rural community for peace and quiet the city is only six miles away making commuting easy. The Sir Vivian Richards Stadium is approximately five miles west on the way to the city which is about fifteen minutes away.
The main sources of income for the villagers are employment within the hospitality sector namely Veranda and Pineapple hotels, and farming with crops and livestock.
